Our Wedding is split into 3 events (invite only due to limitations on numbers for venues).

The Legal Ceremony - this is for famliy and friends - a small event!

The Commitment Ceremony - this is for our wider circle of friends and family and is a more traditional ceremony.

The Wedding Party - this is the party bash after the main Commitment Ceremony.

The Legal Wedding Ceremony will take place in the Gardens of the British Embassy. 

Wedding Theme - Black and White please! (No kilts for this one!)

All Guests invited to the Legal Ceremony are required to arrive early to clear security (allow a minimum of 30 minutes).  There is very limited parking, so it will be best to arrive by Taxi.  No mobile phones are allowed within the Embassy compound so ensure you leave them at home (or they will be left with Security at the Embassy).  Camera's are allowed and will be checked by Security.  Please review the British Embassy - Oman website for further details.

After the Legal Ceremony, there will be champagne served with some nibbles, prior to the wedding party departing to our Villa by bus at approx 2.30pm.  

At the villa we are having the Hyatt cater a wonderful Aussie style BBQ.  The menu looks fantastic!  This will be held on our roof terrace. All tastes are catered for.

At approx 7pm, the wedding party will depart for the Grand Hyatt Hotel in buses for guests to continue enjoying the evening while we escape for the night and relax after all the planning of the wedding and a rest before the Commitment Ceremony!

The Commitment Ceremony will be outside in the gardens of the Grand Hyatt, followed by photographs.  Photographs will be taken very quickly after the ceremony to make the best use of the sunlight before sunset.  

The Commitment Ceremony allows more of our friends to be able to enjoy our wedding celebrations.  The Ceremony is typical of a wedding - including the vows.  This will be held in the garden of the Hyatt Hotel.

On arrival at the Grand Hyatt - staff will be able to assist you in locating the Gardens for the Ceremony.

Dress code is Formal dress / National dress.  

A buffet dinner will follow in a wedding marquee, again in the gardens of the Grand Hyatt.  All tastes have been catered for, however if you have any special requirements, please advise with your RSVP.

Please note - for the customs of the Sultanate of Oman, there will be no alcohol served before 6pm.  This is in keeping with local legislation.

Thereafter - the WEDDING PARTY - upstairs in the Grill House - in the open air......to dance the night away.........

The Wedding Party for our wedding is to be held at the Grill House at the Grand Hyatt, Muscat, Oman.  

The dress code for the evening follows on from the event of the day which is smart / formal / national dress.

Finger food (including a small selection of pork meats), soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be served.

This will be a fun evening - lots of nationalities, friends, family and visitors...with the Scottish and Aussie wit and humour - this is bound to be a night to remember!
