Please check your nationality visa requirements well ahead of arriving in Muscat. Some people need to source Visa's in advance from the country of departure (or we can help you as well). The Muscat Travel Agents can source Visa's ahead of arrival as required - however we advise you to organise this as soon as possible to avoid any delays on entry into Oman. For most Western Countries - you receive your Visa in Muscat. For arrival into Muscat at Seeb International Airport, you will taken from the plane by bus to the terminal building, and there you need to go to the Travelex Counter. Here you will obtain your Visitor Visa (approx £8 / AUS$18.4 / $16 / 6 O.R / 60 dirmans). Your Visa will be valid for 30 days. After this you queue at the "Visitors" Visa desk, and you will have your passport stamped. NOTE - if you have travelled to Israel - you will need to check your passport as sometimes the ME countries will not allow entry to individials with Israel entry / exit stamps in their passports. |

Time difference is + 4 house GMT The Currency in Oman is the Omani Rial (OR) which is approx : 10 dirhams - 1 OR £1.30 - 1 OR $3 AUS - 1 OR Once you have your Visa stamp - you pick up your baggage, and then our advice is to get Duty Free booze (hotels are not the cheapest for booze). On exit from the airport you will either be picked up by your hotel (with prior arrangement) or you will find the taxi stand near the exit. Taxi's typically cost 7 Omani Rials to the Hyatt. The Taxi drivers here can drive a bit crazy - so PLEASE tell them to slow down and keep an eye on the road. And Finally - WELCOME TO MUSCAT! ENJOY! |
